Cleanses

Have you heard the new craze about all of these "cleanses"?  So, is it worth looking into?  Or is this just a money making scheme?

All of my life I have had digestive issues.  I had heard about cleansing but never really thought twice about it.  I probably didn't want to think twice about it because most of them required fasting and, well, I love food!

But I made a committment this year to get healthy and WELL!  This means fixing the things I know are broken or not working optimally, even if I am not "sick".  I started looking into the impact of gut health on my overall wellness.  Let's just say that I was blown away.  I went through book after book and training after training and almost every issue people deal with led back to the gut!  Imagine that.

Hormones issues, skin issues, attention issues, food sensitivity issues......ALL led back to gut health.    And poop!  I learned more about pooping and how it affects every part of my body!  Did you know that a healthy person should be pooping about two to three times PER DAY!  Heck, I know people who don't poop that much in a week ;)

Anywho, enough of the dirty talk.  So, I figured it was high time I get this dealt with.  I have tried a few different cleanses and have found a few interesting tidbits to share.
First--I CAN fast and feel super good.  I did the "Master Cleanse" and loved it.  Google it if you would like to knoe how to do it!  I did lose a bit of weight, not a bunch.  But the most interesting thing was as I added back food slowly I started to immediately be able to determine which foods created problems for me.
Second-- I learned what it felt like to not be tired, sluggish, foggy headed, exhausted, and bloated all of the time.  It was so refreshing to see how our bodies were created to work and what optimal looked like!
Third-- I learned that a really good probiotic and digestive enzymes are a must!

So, if you have been pondering a cleanse I would say Go FOR IT!  See how you feel!  Do your own research and don't just trust someone else's word, esp if they are gonna make money off from you!  I tell people this about essential oils (where I make money) and mean it!  Learn for yourself!

When you know better, you do better!

Sonya Jean

This is a song I wrote for my sister and few years ago.  Here is part of her story that I told in another post:   My sister's story Sonya Jean I wish I had one more day, I wish I had just one more day. If someone had told me that this was the way; I would have wished for just one more day. The good Lord giveth, and He taketh away, I wish I had just one more day. Such short time on Earth, you had to live; And in that time you had so much to give. A mother, sister and a daughter, A spirit filled with fun and laughter. As sickness came to take you away, I held tight to every day. I wish I had one more day, I wish I had just one more day. If someone had told me that this was the way; I would have wished for just one more day. The good Lord giveth, and He taketh away, I wish I had just one more day. So many things I should have said, Sitting there beside your bed. The most important we covered, The day you prayed and Jesus ...

Loving an MLM, seriously?!?!?!

I am the girl who likes to be home, like never leave home, have peace and quiet, and am afraid of people ;)  I have never "sold" anything in my life (before a year ago), and I rarely tell people about things I love because I just assumed they really didn't care. I have always worked from home, but at a "real" business.  The hubs and I own an electrical contracting business and I have always run the home office.  How many hubs get to go home with the secretary 😀 Well, I am the last person I would have ever expected to fall in love with a MLM business.  I am very skepticle of things and like I said....PEOPLE!  But, as I often do, I have surprised myself.  I got started with Young Living as part of a 15 year journey to get some answers and freedom for a hubs that suffered from severe chronic migraines.  Little did I know that this company would radically change our lives! Not only have we tackled the migraines, we have learned as a family and healt...

Momcation

As a mom, I feel like my number one job is always to take care of everyone else.  I rarely, if ever, have someone babysit my kiddos and I really never go anywhere without them.  They are MY gifts from God and therefore they are MY responsibility.  This has always been my thought process for 15 years of marriage.  When I would hear mom's talk about monthly date nights or mom's night out or a vacation without the kids I would gasp!  Yup--totally was judgemental.  Truth--as women, we most often are!  But then something changed.  I would laughingly say it was Young Living, but it was a strange by-product of joining Young Living that I never expected.......FRIENDS! I met some of the most wonderful women ever.  I also started to learn more and more about self care and how advantageous it is to my entire family when I take care of me sometimes, even if for a short time. Last year I took my first ever vacation without my family!  I was a w...
