Passion

Have you ever been so passionate about something that it makes you almost cry?  I have....I AM!  I am this passionate about seeing lives changed.  I am this passionate about health and wellness.........BUT I am even more passionate about kicking cancer to the curb!

Cancer Sucks!

Do you realize that the American Cancer Society says that 90% off all cancers are preventable!  What does that mean?  LIFESTYLE choices are killing us.....literally!  Many people have the "not me" approach to cancer or the "well, if it's my time" ideaology.  I may or may not change your mindset, but at least indulge me for these few minutes.  I would love to tell you my story and see if it at least makes you think twice about what you allow in your house, on your skin, in the air around you....and in your mouth!

When I was twenty years old, I had a twenty eight year old sister get diagnosed with cancer.  Yes---TWENTY EIGHT!  Most people would think little of that and assume that she is young and strong and would kick this fast and hard.   And, I think that is what she thought too!  Oh how clueless we can be sometimes.

I watched my sister go from a vibrant young mother of a ten year old boy to a shell of existance and then finally to an angle all over the very long extended period of EIGHT months.  Yup--only eight!!!  But it was the longest eight months of my life.

If you have ever watched a person die of cancer it is one of the most debilitating, helpless, life changing experiences ever.  Add on top of that a young boy watching his mother go through this and it is heart breaking!

I do not wish this experience on ANYONE ever!  After doing so much research, I realized that her cancer COULD very well have been prevented and that my father in law's cancer and my grandpa's cancer all COULD have been prevented......it burns me up!  WHY are we not told this.

Of course we are told that cigarettes cause cancer and that the sun can cause cancer but who tells us that the shampoo and conditioner you use or the laundry soap or the sunscreen (ya know to prevent that other cancer) all can be causing cancer?!?!?!?!  How is this allowed?

I realize that some people may feel like I am a broken record constantly teaching about a chemical free lifestyle and how we use Young Living products to accomplish this......BUT.......thats ok.  I wish someone had told my sister.....OVER and OVER and OVER until she listened!

If I offend you with my rantings...I am sorry........but not really!  You can pass me by or unfriend me or just not listen.  But if I can get through to one person and change their lives.......It is all worth it!

Sonya Jean

This is a song I wrote for my sister and few years ago.  Here is part of her story that I told in another post:   My sister's story Sonya Jean I wish I had one more day, I wish I had just one more day. If someone had told me that this was the way; I would have wished for just one more day. The good Lord giveth, and He taketh away, I wish I had just one more day. Such short time on Earth, you had to live; And in that time you had so much to give. A mother, sister and a daughter, A spirit filled with fun and laughter. As sickness came to take you away, I held tight to every day. I wish I had one more day, I wish I had just one more day. If someone had told me that this was the way; I would have wished for just one more day. The good Lord giveth, and He taketh away, I wish I had just one more day. So many things I should have said, Sitting there beside your bed. The most important we covered, The day you prayed and Jesus ...

Loving an MLM, seriously?!?!?!

I am the girl who likes to be home, like never leave home, have peace and quiet, and am afraid of people ;)  I have never "sold" anything in my life (before a year ago), and I rarely tell people about things I love because I just assumed they really didn't care. I have always worked from home, but at a "real" business.  The hubs and I own an electrical contracting business and I have always run the home office.  How many hubs get to go home with the secretary 😀 Well, I am the last person I would have ever expected to fall in love with a MLM business.  I am very skepticle of things and like I said....PEOPLE!  But, as I often do, I have surprised myself.  I got started with Young Living as part of a 15 year journey to get some answers and freedom for a hubs that suffered from severe chronic migraines.  Little did I know that this company would radically change our lives! Not only have we tackled the migraines, we have learned as a family and healt...

Momcation

As a mom, I feel like my number one job is always to take care of everyone else.  I rarely, if ever, have someone babysit my kiddos and I really never go anywhere without them.  They are MY gifts from God and therefore they are MY responsibility.  This has always been my thought process for 15 years of marriage.  When I would hear mom's talk about monthly date nights or mom's night out or a vacation without the kids I would gasp!  Yup--totally was judgemental.  Truth--as women, we most often are!  But then something changed.  I would laughingly say it was Young Living, but it was a strange by-product of joining Young Living that I never expected.......FRIENDS! I met some of the most wonderful women ever.  I also started to learn more and more about self care and how advantageous it is to my entire family when I take care of me sometimes, even if for a short time. Last year I took my first ever vacation without my family!  I was a w...
