What Essential Oils Can do for YOUR family

Okay, so I have done lots of postings about what essential oils have done for my family, so let's chat about a few things that they can do for your family!  I am a WAHM of five kiddos that range from 4 years old to fourteen years old.  So preschool to teenagers.  Quite a gap and they all have different needs, not to mention me and the hubs!  I want to share in this post some of the areas that we use essential oils that may also bless you.

1.  SLEEP- hands down, best area right here!  When all the little(er) people sleep, Mama sleeps better too!  All of my kiddos sleep with diffusers in their room.  Sometimes we use these for sleep support oils and sometimes we use these for other "needs".  We will chat about these needs in a minute.

My teenagers have found different smells that relax them and they just diffuse whichever they like.  Some of our favorites are Patchouli, Lavender, Cedarwood, Peace & Calming, Stress Away, and Frankincense.

My littlest two and my oldest one also use sleep support roller balls.  One is a pre-made Young Living roller balls and the other is a "mom-made" roller ball.  My oldest uses the Young Living RutaVala roller and the two littles use a combo of Lavender and Cedarwood mixed with fractionated coconut oil.

2.  HORMONES - These things will knock you on your tail and make you think that you are all sorts of crazy.  Mom-brain anyone?!?!?!  I use an essential oil called Progessence Plus, which is a natural form of progesterone derived from the wild yam.  Makes the mom crazy disappear!

When my teenagers first started nearing puberty, they started changing into people I did not know.  I did a little research and realized that their hormones needed some loving.  Enter Endoflex essential oil.  I make this into a roller balls for them.  About twenty drops Endoflex to a 10 ml roller ball with carrier.  They roll on their lower back (think ovaries area) and throat (think thyroid area) twice a day.  It has made a world of difference.

Also--I during that wonderful "red week", we use Dragon Time essential oil.  Sometimes being a "dragon" is really no fun!

3.  EMOTIONS - It still amazes me how a smell can control our emotions.  The smell of Peppermint can awaken and uplift you.  The smell of Lemon can make you feel like all is clean and fresh which makes any momma feel good!  The smell of Citrus Fresh can make a long, cold winter seem to vanish with the smell of fruity summer.  The smell of Lavender can relax and calm a tired and cranky child (or momma).

We use smells to help with temper tantrums, with creating overall peaceful environments and for a relaxing environment.  Especially during seasonal times that great smells filling the house seem to also just fill your hearts!

4.  SUPPLEMENTS - Hands down the best supplements ever!  Even for the kids!  Wellness means preventing sickness, not just dealing with it once it hits.  Everyone in our family uses the supplements, the NingXia Red juice, and the vitality oils to strengthen our bodies, our immune systems, and overall wellness!

5.  INCOME - The last area that most people never venture into is the income potential of Young Living.  What would an extra $50 a month do for you and your family?  Maybe that's all you need to get on our Essential Rewards monthly program and get your family healthier and well.  What would $200 or $300 a month extra do?  Date nights, babysitiing, groceries, momma money?????  The possibilities are endless!

None of Young Living's members have to do the business side, it is just an amazing side benefit.  I have momma's on my team that are SAHM, moms that work full time, part time , single moms, happily married moms and everything in between.  This business is one that anyone can do, but not everyone will do!

Now that you know just a handful of the ways that Young Living can change your family's life.....what are you waiting for???  Join my team and let's get started making life changes for you!!

Sonya Jean

This is a song I wrote for my sister and few years ago.  Here is part of her story that I told in another post:   My sister's story Sonya Jean I wish I had one more day, I wish I had just one more day. If someone had told me that this was the way; I would have wished for just one more day. The good Lord giveth, and He taketh away, I wish I had just one more day. Such short time on Earth, you had to live; And in that time you had so much to give. A mother, sister and a daughter, A spirit filled with fun and laughter. As sickness came to take you away, I held tight to every day. I wish I had one more day, I wish I had just one more day. If someone had told me that this was the way; I would have wished for just one more day. The good Lord giveth, and He taketh away, I wish I had just one more day. So many things I should have said, Sitting there beside your bed. The most important we covered, The day you prayed and Jesus ...

Momcation

As a mom, I feel like my number one job is always to take care of everyone else.  I rarely, if ever, have someone babysit my kiddos and I really never go anywhere without them.  They are MY gifts from God and therefore they are MY responsibility.  This has always been my thought process for 15 years of marriage.  When I would hear mom's talk about monthly date nights or mom's night out or a vacation without the kids I would gasp!  Yup--totally was judgemental.  Truth--as women, we most often are!  But then something changed.  I would laughingly say it was Young Living, but it was a strange by-product of joining Young Living that I never expected.......FRIENDS! I met some of the most wonderful women ever.  I also started to learn more and more about self care and how advantageous it is to my entire family when I take care of me sometimes, even if for a short time. Last year I took my first ever vacation without my family!  I was a w...

Camping

We are preparing for our first ever (really) camping trip.  Now, you would need to know me to know that this is a STRETCH for me!  No, I am lying.....its not a stretch it is a full blown miraculous thing.  BUT, remember, I am working on Fun and Family this year and someone convinced me that camping would accomplish both.  I, however, am quite certain that camping with strengthen my Faith more than anything.  Two adults, five kiddos, one dog all in one camper....YUP--this will make or break my Faith! I am NOT a big fan of camping.  When someone puts vacation plus camping in the same sentence it sounds like an oximoron to me.  We did go camping TWICE in the last sixteen years of marriage.  The first time was in a tent big enough to barely fit the air mattress......not good!  That was before we had kiddos.  Then we went again with three kiddos in a "three room" tent.  Um, NO....those are definately not three rooms.  It's like on...
